Demon Angel Statue

This gorgeous statue is part of the Evening Falls collection and it costs 18 stardollars. It's one of my favourite pieces from the store, I just think it looks very well designed and it's a magnificent choice to a gothic themed room.

I believe Stardoll got inspired on Weeping Angels from the Doctor Who series. On the story, they're an ancient race of aliens who are deadly powerful and dangerous. That's how they look like:

Stylist Studio

Yesterday, we received a message, inviting us to buy the new feature, which is a Stylist studio. I wasn't exactly sure what it's for, but I bought it and checked it out.
The current price, 149 stardollars, is only temporary and at the moment only Stardoll royalty can buy the studio. That will probably change later. Once you buy it and start styling, some sort of a career card appears next to your nickname in guestbooks etc.

So what it basically is, is a place where you style other people's dolls.
1. First you need a customer.
2.Once they "get in line", you can style their MeDoll with items that are in the shops at the moment. That's not one of my favorite parts because they could add the items the person already has, that would make it much easier.
3. When you're done with the styling, you send it to the client and it appears in your portfolio. They can either buy it or not. When someone buys your outfit, you get 10% of the cost of all the items.
But it seems like a nice idea to me, one of the best ones lately. Did anyone buy it?

Free Bella Cullen wedding dress

Stardoll hasn't been very much interesting this year so far. To lighten up the matter, though, they decided to give ze users a chance to feel like a character in "one of our favorite movies of the season"*, - dress up in Bella Cullen's amazing wedding dress** ***
To participate, you have to style your doll like Bella (not necessarily, though I'd like to see some iron masks which would make the impression of someone actually having tried), take a photograph (or use an old one, as did I) and send it to the contest. Then you receive a free dress, which looks like this:

Stardoll has been quite dead, lately. No interesting updates or any relevant collections worth mentioning. I'm curious on your opinion about our latest release, though:

Unlike the earlier collections of IdentiTee, the items aren't cheap. You can get each for 14 stardollars and I personally find the clothes completely useless. I wonder if anyone here spent any money on this?

New feature in Beauty Parlor

And here comes one more amazing change concerning Beauty Parlor, which takes such form:

meaning, you can now enlarge/rotate/change sides of the items you used to use, which makes a pleasant new add, although I'm not entirely sure what would I want to enlarge (maybe make my hair extensions really big, or putting eye lenses all over my face without using much material. Sweet). Maybe make those big nerd glasses really big and look fake (Sweetums). Ze possibilities are endless, depending on your creativity/sources/shoe size/hair color/sense of pride/etc., etc.

P.S. if you played too far and can't find the right size, put the item back in the box and take it again, and it will appear in its usual size. And I got a yellow T-Shirt for Christmas

New Other World floor

We got a new Other World floor, this time with some less items than usually. Stardoll calls it the "Journey to the center of the earth." If you've seen the movie with the same name, then you know some people believe there's a whole other world down there, with completely different organisms. Geology claims all there is in the center is lava, so it's not very plausible, but it's an interesting thought.

Anyone buying? I think I'll just get the shoes.

Save the Queen headpiece

A Union Jack top hat is available today as the 20th Holiday calendar gift. It's one of my favorite calendar items so far. It's called Save the Queen headpiece, it costs 90 starcoins and today is the last day it's available. Instead of the blue part of the flag, this one has black. That makes it easier to match.

In real life, it's part of an exhibit, called Hats: An Anthology by Steven Jones. What that actually is, is a collection of unique, one of a kind hats, made for a museum. If you google it, you'll find some more great hats. And here is the photo:

Stardoll finally made the jewelry sellable. Unfortunately, the Jewelry bazaar is filled with self-made thing at the moment so it's hard to find anything useful. Avoid this with the search function, some of the brands have been added. It's a good move though. I'll try to get some of the old hot buys or chokers.

Grimoire

We can totally find some interesting items on the Other World shop, sometimes related with darker stuff. The problem is that Stardoll tends to soften up their look, making their overall aspect not that intriguing. It's the case of the Grimoire, 10 stardollars, and with the aspect of a completely normal book with some stars applications.
Well, in real life these books typically include instructions on how to create magical objects like talismans and amulets, how to perform magical spells, charms and divination and also how to summon or invoke supernatural entities such as angels, spirits, and demons. These are their usual type of covers:

I've actually seen a few girls complaining on the release of such "horrible items on a children's website". I personally adore them, though :D What about you guys?

Eternal Serpent

The Other World store was renewed with more amazing items for superstars exclusively. This time, we got an ancient symbol called Eternal Serpent which is more commonly named Ouroboros. It represents a snake (it can also be used a dragon) swallowing its own tail, forming a circle. It symbolizes self-reflexivity or cyclicality, especially in the sense of something constantly re-creating itself - the eternal return - and other things perceived as cycles that begin anew as soon as they end (just like Phoenixes). It also represents the cyclic Nature of the Universe: creation out of destruction, life out of death. I found its symbolism highly interesting so I hope that Stardoll keeps releasing more meaningful items.

The Pêt-à-Porter animals have transformed. They're supposed to be cute now. I can honestly say, I did not expect this.. But I don't really mind it, I bought the tiger and it looks even better now. We're able to produce a good variety of necklaces, glasses and earrings and we can also add some extra charms. However, as the fashion and interior designing, this new feature is quite limited since we can't design a pattern but simply use stardoll's primary designs.

The new Hot Buys shoes are in the shops. They're called Hot Buys Silver Heeled Boots. Their price is 12 stardollars, which is amazingly cheap for these days. You can find them in the Fallen Angel shop (yippee for that). They look quite simple, so I think they can be used in many outfits.

The real life version is Absinthe Metal Heel High Boots by Topshop. They're made of 100% leather, so I don't think I'd want to buy them. The heel is 6 inches or 15 cm high so I'd probably be tripping anyway. Here's the photo:

Really, Stardoll? Really?

We all know Stardoll isn't very original, but this has got to be a new record. They've been advertising new colors, when in fact they've been giving us the old shit in a new package. Now it doesn't make much of a difference with the white dye, but the first nail polish is 4 stardollars more expensive, even though it's the SAME exact color. Here's some photos to show you what I mean:

If you're a lover of horror and all the things that goes bump in the night, than I'm sure you loved this item as much as I did. It's a perfect piece to include on a dark and spooky suite.

New polished

We've got some new hair dyes and some new nail polishes. I don't think the Doreé collection is worth checking out cause it's the same as before, boring pastel colors and nothing that new really. The white one is nice, but that's about it. On the other hand, we have the Polished items. I like the vivid orange and yellow and I adore the black-green and black-blue one because when you put them on your nails, they look darker than the black polish. Definitely worth checking out.

Anyone else likes these? And does anyone actually like the new pastel dyes?

Non violence items

I'll start with the real life version this time. This statue is a gift from Luxembourgh. It's now in front of the UN building in Manhattan, New York. It's a symbol of piece.

This is the interview with our second new writer. Her name is Janomilka.., she's 19 and she's from Czech Republic. She's got wonderful style and creativity, she's won our blog's contests before. You've probably noticed she's also got a killer suite so be sure to take a look.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I would like to know how to fly. I'd fly with the birds and feel the freedom all over my body. And then I would like to be invisible so I could come to every concert or festival for free.

What is your favorite band?
I haven't just one favorite band. My favorite ones are Hammerfall, Manowar and Edguy These are the best heavy-metal bands for me.

Who is your favorite designer?
Frankly, I do not have a favorite designer. Even if I had one, I probably could not afford his proposals. However, I admire nearly all the designers, they are so creative and have an endless imagination. But it is true that I am intrigued by dresses by Blanka Matragi. Her clothes are full of color, hope and magic.

Do you dress similarly in real life and on Stardoll?
My life is completely devoted to music, which means that I dress according to what I'm listening to. So yes, in real life I wear a lot like what I do on Stardoll. That means black, crimsom, black and black clothes. I like to go out into the streets dressed in black, with steel on the feet and chains hanging on my body. I don't care what people think about me. I am what I am.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would go to the end of the world.

Are you religious?
No, I'm not. Although I believe in myself. In my opinion, a belief in yourself is the most fundamental belief which a person can have. And it is also teh only faith that can fulfill our wishes. I don't believe in any god and I don't live according to written rules.

What is the meaning of life?
Each person creates their own meaning of life. But life in general has no meaning. What would it be? Destroy everything you can? Kill each other? Killing animals just because I'd want to? Destroy the entire fauna and flora? This is not the meaning, that's bullshit. (Of course I'm talking about people.)

What is your favorite paranormal creature?
Zombies, vampires and witches. Zombies don't know what they do, they just go for the smell of people - food. It's a really scary situation. Witches.. I don't care what a witch is, if a pointy hat and a black cat on her shoulder or she has superpowers. They are all able to do things that remain a mistery. And vampires.. live forever, sleep in a coffin, only to walk at night, be fast, drink blood with whiskey.. hell, who would not want to live like this?

If you could go out for dinner with anyone, who would it be and why?
I'd go to dinner with the first man in the world. I'd tell him he has no idea what he will do to earth (extinction of several species of animals, destroying the earth etc.) and that he is not human, he is just another kind of animal. So he should behave accordingly because he is less than the weeds.

Hand of Glory

There's a Hand of Glory reproduction in the Other World store and since I have a high fascination for dark amulets, I thought I should post about it.
For those who don't know, the Hand of Glory is a grisly item related to a once wide held belief in the magical power of human remains, especially those of the executed. This amulet is essentially a severed hand from an executed criminal (the more notorious the greater its supposed potency) that was dried in the Sun after pickling and treatment with various noxious materials. The hand was then enclosed around a candle (preferably made with the fat of a hanged man) or the fingers were turned into macabre wicks. It was believed that this gruesome brand would confer invisibility to its owner, render the occupants of a household into a deep sleep, and open locked doors.

My problem with Stardoll's version is how non-creepy it looks:

This is the interview with our first new writer, RoyalRuby7395. She's a very kind 16 year old girl from Kentucky, USA. She's been on Stardoll since 2008. She's got a bunch of cool clothes and a very creative style that has been featured in this blog a few times before. She was also a winner of our competitions twice if I remember correctly.

Do you dress similarly in real life and on Stardoll?
Sometimes. My more elaborate outfits on Stardoll... obviously not, haha. I also do not wear skirts or tights, although I would like to. I mostly just wear jeans, band T-shirts and black Chucks. Sometimes I dress up in real life and wear 'darker' clothing, like some of the less elaborate outfits I make on Stardoll. The makeup on my doll, however, most days I wear in real life.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I'm not entirely sure. I have thought about it before and have narrowed it down to two: mind reading or shape-shifter.

Who is your favorite designer?
I don't follow fashion much, but from what I have seen of Alexander McQueen, I like. I like that he has a different style of 'fashion' than other designers. His stuff is more unique and therefore attracts my attention.

What is your favorite band?
Most definitely Judas Priest. They have always been and will forever be my favorite band. I can count on one hand the songs of theirs I do not love. When I listen to them I feel whole, however dramatic that sounds. I have seen them live once, in 2009, and will see them live again next week!!

If you could go out for dinner with anyone, who would it be and why?
Even though she is dead, Elizabeth I of England. I would like to know how she thought, how she felt about being a woman in her time period and unmarried and with so much power. Plus she interests me so much. She was a very fascinating person.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
England, without a doubt. I'm obsessed with medieval England. I would be visiting all of the ruins, touring the famous cathedrals and palaces. Especially the Tower of London. Of everything in England, I would like to see the spot where Anne Boleyn grew up, where she was beheaded, and her grave.

Are you religious?
Not at all. I am an I don't believe in anything at all. Religion interests me, though, and I want to study it in college.

What is the meaning of life?
I'm still debating this with myself, but I currently believe there is no meaning to life. We are just animals on this earth, moving through a never-ending cycle. We are insignificant in this universe and will affect nothing at all, ultimately. All in all, I think there is no meaning to life other than just living.

Do you usually speak up or are you more in the back?
Some of both. It depends on the situation. When I am discussing something I feel passionate about, I am outspoken. But just generally, I keep to myself unless I am with friends.

What is your favorite paranormal creature?
There are lots that I like, but I'm not sure if they would be considered 'paranormal.' For a strictly paranormal creature, I suppose the traditional vampyre and what it was like, even before Bram Stoker published his 'Dracula.' The vampyre has a fascinating history in different cultures, I think.

Anything else you'd like to tell our readers?
Just that I'll try to do my best, and that I will very much enjoy writing for this blog and hopefully conversing with its followers. :]

I found this one thanks to Tattytta. It's from the Pet-a-Porter shop and it's called Dragon (shocker). Unfortunately, it costs 100$. It looks a bit cartoony and the fire is terrible, but otherwise it's great. Separately you can buy its Dragon wings for 14$ that can also be used on your doll. As you all probably know, the Pet-a-Porter animals will all grow up into cute ones, I assume around Christmas. I see how they can make the kitten and the dogs cute, but what can you do with a dragon? I'm hoping it'll stay a dragon.

Skeleton Print Dress was released on Stardoll a long time ago. It's originally from the Evil Panda store but you can purchase it on Starbazaar for accessible prices now (I got mine for 15sd, by the way). I personally adore the dress, it's a great piece for an alternative look:

In real life, skeletons are very used in dark clothing. These two are possible inspirations from Stardoll:

Halloween COMPETITION

Now that everyone's getting their costumes on, it's a good time for a competition.

Theme:
Make a Halloween inspired outfit. You can tell us what your costume presents, but it's not mandatory. Make it as creative as possible. Don't worry about going over the top - the crazier it is, the better. Include some of your personal, preferably dark style, too. For inspiration, check out these posts.
You can also check out some real life costumes here. Let me just warn you though, if you dress up as Lady Gaga, I will hate you forever.

Instructions:
Make an outfit (that follows all the rules) in your Starplaza wardrobe or your own suite, take a screen shot and upload it to ImageShack/PhotoBucket/TinyPic. Paste the link to your outfit in comments. It would be nice if you also make a screen print of the make-up you use, but that's optional.

Hot Buys Tights

New goodies! The Hot Buys Tights have been released. I think they're one of the best pieces of the October Hot Buys. You can find them in the Fallen Angel store for only 12 stardollars. I was sort of hoping they'd have the bow pattern all over them, but oh well. They're still gorgeous. I think they look amazingly sexy with thigh high boots of any kind.

According to the other blogs, they're a mixture of two types of tights. The designer is Miss Selfridge. They actually cost about 10€ in real life so go ahead with buying if you like them. I'm considering it.. Anyway, here's the photo:

Halloween, part 2

There's a few Halloween time only offers - and I don't mean give-us-money-and-we'll-give-you-ugly-clothes kind of offers, I mean the stuff that's in the shops right now and is really worth buying.

1. If you haven't already, you have got to buy some of the Louise Bourgeois items that are back in the shop. They used to have their own shop (remember?). I bought 4 of these straight away. Photo:

2. If you visit the Glamorous shop, you'll notice they added a fang to their offer. It's not much, but it's very useful. I have 4 of these and I use them as a cigarette. I've seen other creative ideas, too, though.

3. There are some cool hidden shops that are definitely worth checking out. Who knows, they just might come in handy with your halloween outfit:

There is nothing going on on Stardoll that's worth writing about, so I thought I'd make a special post. And what better theme than Halloween?
Now read something about the basics while listening to Marilyn Manson's song "This is Halloween":

The night of October 31, celebrated by children who dress in costume and solicit treats door-to-door.

Now some real life vs. Stardoll:

1. Jack-O'-Lantern

Pumpkin, Fallen Angel, 45 - 55 starcoins, depending on the type
Jack-O'-Lanterns are carved pumpkins with a candle in them. There's a legend about a blacksmith trapping the Devil and making him promise that he won't take the blacksmith's soul. So when he died, the blacksmith couldn't go to heaven or hell so he was stuck wondering the world with carved beetroot (=pumpkins later on) keeping him company.

2. Black cat

Scared cat, interior Pet shop, 6$
Black cats have been closely tied to Halloween for ages. Why? I'd say multiple reasons, the first one being superstition. They were also supposed to be the companions of witches. I've read that the owners of black cats are advised to keep them indoors for a week before Halloween because of theft.

3. Bats

Bat, interior Pet shop, 5$
These cute little creatures are linked to Halloween because of the link with vampires and blood-drinking. People used to make big bonfires to ward off evil spirits, so the fire attracted bugs, which attracted bats, so they were considered to be the evil spirits.

I was hoping Stardoll would provide us with some decent costumes too, but I guess not.. So I went through my closet and found some older clothing pieces that can be used as costumes. These are gothic lolita, angel, pirate and witch:

They always provide us with some good pieces that can be used in dark outfits and so they did it this time, too. Two new Pêt-à-Porter floors have been released, this time with (what I think are) Halloween animals. We might not be getting new Tingeling Halloween Couture this year, but we sure as hell got some wicked interior stuff.
Now while I love their originality and will surely buy some items, I'm just not sure many people will.

I'd love to buy the dragon if it'd been made a bit better. I bought the dragon wings (sold separately from the dragon, thankfully) and I'll probably buy some of the other animals & regret it later. Anyone else bought anything?
Also, since they're Pêt-à-Porter, do you think they'll grow and if yes, into what?

Halloween decorations

October has started and you all knows what's on the 31st of October, right? Halloween. So Stardoll generously provided us with somen new Halloween decorations that are available every year. They're (almost) all in starcoins and fairly cheap so you should definitely check them out.

Since we get a new Tingeling Halloween Couture collection every October, I'm hoping we'll get one this year, too. Fingers crossed!

I think Stardoll did a great job with the graphics and they totally should release more cultural and artistic shops. A lot of stuff is still sellable so if you're interested go check the store!

Suite Update

We don't need to access the main suite room for dressing our medolls anymore. There's a new tab (which you can access by clicking on the purple arrow on the left side of your suite) that provide us all the clothing and accessories you may have on your virtual closet. If you click on Create Room Style that will automatically undress your medoll too.

You can also navigate through other users closets by this tab. I found the new tool quite useful, it's easier and quicker to personalize the medoll as well as navigating. What do you guys think?

Thanks to our reader Agrita, we found another marvelous real life version. This piece is called L-S Gothic Top (in case anyone is wondering, L-S means longsleeve). It's been in the Fallen Angel shop for quite a while now and for me, it's an instant buy. It's price is 6 stardollars, which is quite fair.

Hi, guys. You've probably noticed we recently lost two writers and the remaining ones (me and PinkPunkGirly) are often busy with school so we decided we could use some help with maintaining the blog.

Let's get down to business then. We are looking for a writer who has been a member on Stardoll for at least a year (so she/he knows her/his way around the website), is interested in any dark/alternative culture (as in is a punk, goth, metalhead etc. because this is a dark cultures blog right?) and preferrably has ideas and writes good posts. Ragdoll Stockings

These are part of the Tingeling Halloween Couture 2009 collection. They're called Ragdoll Stockings, they're incredibly unique and there's a lot you can do with them on your medolls. Their original price is 14$ but if you're interested in getting them, you'll have to pay a lot more.

I recognized these stockings from a few photos of Emilie Autumn. Unfortunately, I have no idea about the real designer.

Rose gala dress

This one is an old Fallen Angel dress, called Rose gala dress. It's been in the shop for ages, which makes it cheap - only 8 stardollars. It's superstar though. Its top part is a bit transparent which I love because I can combine it with a black bra or something like that.

And the real life version actually looks even better. The designer that made it is Bill Blass, but it's called Rose gala dress because the actress Rose McGowan (played in Charmed, ex Marilyn Manson's girlfriend) wore it. The transparency is nothing for her though, she's know for her provocative style (like this outfit). Photo:

I usually don't like Hot Buys much (I only buy them so I can sell them for thrice the price later), but this one actually looks quite nice. It's easy to wear too. Anyone else buying?

Mortal Kiss Polished

This is by far, the best floor Stardoll ever released to the Polished store!

The new nail polishes are quite creepy, including bats, skulls, blood, brains and even worms. Check below some of my personal favorites:

Unfortunately, they're not very cheap, costing 17 stardollars each. Anyway, do you think Stardoll will release more creepy items? I'd love to see a clothing line with such theme.

Zombie time

There's a brand new offer from Stardoll. Spending 100 stardollars or moreuntil this Sunday will result in getting back some stardollars and getting 10 "zombie gifts". I'm not sure about these zombie gifts myself because Stardoll probably has a different idea of zombie fashion. We'll see though.

There's probably a trick though. There's always a trick. If you wanna buy something, I suggest you wait until Sunday to buy it. I'm pretty sure something expensive will be released after the offer is over, too. Here's a few clothes I'd love to see them release though:

Chokers

Stardoll has released some fascinating chokers over the years and I'd love to show them to you and present with some similar real life chokers. If you don't know what a choker is, it's a close-fitting necklace that's worn tight around the neck.

I wouldn't really consider this a category, but Stardoll released a spider web choker and I found some resembling ones:

If you like chokers, you should definitely grab one. I recommend the Alchemy Gothic collection in this shop (it's safe, I've ordered from it before).

Alexander McQueen @ Sea of Stars shop

I'm so sorry for being such a McQueen freak and posting everything Stardoll decides to convert into pixelated clothes. I'm such a fangirl.. If you're interested, here's some more:

Stardoll just released another floor in the Sea of Stars shop. I immediately noticed a few pieces:

1: Bird Of A Feather Cape, 50 starcoins
2: Bird Of A Feather Dress, 20 stardollars
3: Violet Sheen Shoes, 50 starcoins
4: Quartz Ablaze Shoes, 50 starcoins
5: Bird Of A Feather Shoes, 6 starcoins

I assume the 6 starcoins shoes are a mistake so get them fast if you like them.

Now I'm not sure about the dress, but the shoes are definitely Alexander McQueen's "armadillos". That's because they're patent shoes and can only be made by the McQueen brand. I love them because of their odd shape. There is only 21 existing pairs and each costs about 10,000$. They're hard to wear though due to the 30 cm/12 inch heels. Did anybody else buy these? Just me? ..

Stardoll released Courtney Love to dress up. I'm personally not a fan of Courtney, I actually despise her personality a lot. But I'm a huge Hole fan (she was the singer of the band) and it's not everyday that Stardoll releases dolls related with Grunge.
Unfortunately I didn't like the clothes at all. But I want to know if anyone here got excited to have Courtney on stardoll, so give us a comment!

This lovely purse is part of the Tingeling Halloween Couture 2009 collection. It's, in my opinion, a great accessory for dark outfits and it can give a very interesting and original touch to your medolls. Its original price is 18 stardollars [edited] but they're sold now for much higher prices.

I think my biggest bad habit is that I'm too lazy. I know it's usually a good thing to live in the now and not think about the future too much, but I'm slacking off when I should be studying and spending time with friends when I should be doing something else.

Alexander McQueen. I didn't even like fashion before him, he totally changed the way I look at it. For me, he's the "non-mainstream" part of fashion.

I would love to read minds. I find people's minds and their ideas so fascinating. Some of them are sick though and some are so nice, you can never know what's under the surface. I'd also love to see what they really think of me. They wouldn't be able to lie to me then, how cool is that?

That's easy. I would erase all religions. I would stop people from believing in god(s) and make them think on their own. It's the only thing that I'm not open-minded about and think it's totally ridiculous.

I've been to 9 countries so far, but I've never visited my favorite one, Finland. Why Finland? They have more than 185 thousand lakes with more than 175 islands on them, it's 75% covered with forests (talk about beautiful landscapes), the people are so nice, they have great music, there's so much snow, there's the northern lights, the polar nights and so much more. I feel like a Finland commercial now :P

Ensiferum, definitely. They've been my favorite band ever since I started listening to metal, which is 5 years ago or so. I think they'll stay my favorite, too. *loyalty* It pisses me off how some people e.g. claim Slipknot are their favorite band one day and Hannah Montana the next.

My biggest is the fear of drowning. I don't know why, but running out of air sounds like the worst way to go.

I know this is gonna sound cheesy, but I'd choose my boyfriend. We've never actually been out for a real dinner so I think it would be nice.

There are definitely similarities. I love wearing super short shorts/skirts. I wear fishnets, too and I almost never wear long sleeves. I always wear at least one black piece combined with another color. I also use spiked bracelets, belts etc. as accessories + I have a tongue, belly button and 17 ear piercings. As for differences, I never wear knee-high boots, dresses or dye my hair. I like band shirts, too. Heavy Metal Lamp

There is nothing to write about lately. Nothing interesting that is. So I bought and wrote about this lovely piece right away. I really dislike the name, which is Heavy Metal Lamp (sounds kind of ridiculous since electric guitars aren't used only in heavy metal), but the price is 70 starcoins, so it's cheap and non-superstar. You can find it in the suite shop in the new Kitsch collection. Photo:

The real life version is made by JC de Castelbajac (I dare you to try reading that). He usually designs clothes, but there's a collection of his on Acrila. The other pieces in the collection aren't as interesting though. And here's the two resembling guitar lights:

We've posted about dzastaa16 before. She was the creator of the Joker reproduction but now she renovated her page and it really amazed me so I thought she deserved a second mention. Her 2 new rooms where constructed upside down with some beautiful dark elements, creating a very original suite:

Apart from the rooms, she also created a gorgeous outfit, incorporating a bunch of ravens:

Here's my interview! As you all know I'm a writer for this blog for 1year and a half and I'm an active member of Stardoll for 3 years. I still dream with the day in which I'll be able to change my username :D But enough Stardoll. It's time for you guys to know a little bit about the real me.

Which is your favourite painting and why? Irene_Gandrella-Blakk
I really don’t have a favourite painting or illustration. After all, there are way too many amazing creations to pick one. But I do have a favourite artist which is Tim Burton. Besides the amazing movies that he directed, he produced a lot of artworks with amazing gloomy atmospheres and unusual elements. These are 2 examples:

What is your favourite place in the world and why ? Juliette
My favourite place is definitely England. I’m in love with the typical architecture, the music, the culture, the cinema, the countryside and the literature. I really want to live there :D

Who is your biggest inspiration? XxladyXxgaga
I could name numberless film-makers, musicians, artists and writers that inspire me but since I can’t, I’d say Johnny Rotten and Brian Hugh Warner (Marilyn Manson) mainly. They both transmit very meaningful lyrics through their music and I admire their honesty towards the others and themselves.

When did you start to like alternative styles? Serendibite
I’ve always loved different looks and views. “Outcasts” always attracted me since I was little, so when I was 11years old I started to get really interested in the Punk and Gothic aesthetics. Inspired by them, I started to adopt these styles, even if no one supported me on that.

In which era would you want to live? –LilaFlo
I’d love to live in the 70’s to present the explosion of Punk and the carriers of some amazing bands. But I guess every generation has its pros and cons so I think that any era would disgust me in some way.

I’ve recently found an amazing designer: h.NAOTO. His works are very dark and freakish so he’s totally on my favourite designers list. And, of course, Alexander Mcqueen also created some spectacular clothing lines.

I’d totally bring Kurt Cobain to life. I’m one of the few people that believe in the murder alternative (if you’re interested, click here and take your own conclusions) and he’s one of the few individuals that I really feel related with.

Not really. On stardoll I use a lot of Gothic elements and freak looks. In real life, I’m not that extravagant, but I still wear full black and eventual spikes and chains.

I have this terrible thing of postponing everything until the very last minute. This habit has prejudiced me in school before and even in daily life so It’d be great to change that.

I think it's time for another competition, don't you? The competitions aren't monthly any more because Stardoll raised the price from the minimum 1,99€ to 4,49€ and we just can't afford it any more. I will still be making competitions at random times, just not as often.

Heavy Metal Choker

The Lanvin Tribute store has been released earlier this week. At first, I thought I just don't wanna look at it because some of the tribute shops are just useless (like the Versus Tribute) in my opinion. But when I checked the Lanvin store, some of the pieces were actualy useful. My favorite one is the Heavy Metal Choker. It costs 10 stardollars, which is a bit expensive, but it is a tribute store so I bought it right away.

Wow. Feet. Just what we always wanted. Feet on Stardoll, because spending money on finger nails was just not enough. It also has three lengths though not as impressive as finger nails. I wasn't in the mood to take a picture of all of them (you can check them by yourself and have a laugh), so please enjoy the current picture I bothered to present:

Dunno if same nail polish can be applied to both types of nails, I have no nail polish, I'm not SS, and even if I were, I'd leave my toe nails alone. Really. Next time Stardoll will allow us to choose number of hairs on out arms and type of bellybutton.
Those feet look funny, like cut from the rest of the body. Oh wait, legs are coming too.
