Stardoll's Poll

This time I will express my truly strong dissatisfaction with it. The question itself is quite normal (compared to some of them), but the spelling makes me *facepalm*
(at first I read "The Crocodiles of Narnia", but I often misread stuff). The "loooved" thing isn't that horrible (though I quit using it ages ago), but "okey" instead of "okay" makes me mad (I hate things like these). No wonder more and more kids are going illiterate and can't spell their own name without making three mistakes (one of which is forgetting the capital letter. No, I haven't got a fetish for capital letters but they do make me annoyed). Kind of "Callie Stardoll goes stupid" thing back in September.
None of blog writers lives in a country where English is national language but I still believe we do better than that

  1. I couldnt't agree more! You know all these weird "languages" and cutting words just make our brain weaker! Especially sc3n3 t@lk! >.> I don't want to sound like a teacher but thats's the truth, right?

  2. Deffinately! I agree completely Rena. They get paid to do all that stuff so why dont they do it right?

  3. More than the misspellings, I hate the improper use of English grammar. But this is rampant throughout the USA, where I live. I don't think grammar is even being taught in school these days.

  4. I agree. Stardoll often makes mistakes, not only in English. I play the game in Dutch and you can find a lot of(!) mistakes in my language. I don't know how they translate it... Sometimes there are English words in Dutch sentences. Maybe I should give Stardoll a dictionary?

  6. I effing know right! Every time I go into a party everyone talks "txt" talk and it annoys the hell out of me! No capitals, a million mispellings, and I keep trying to correct grammar. Once, I even made a party for Intelligent people only (In despiration) and only noobs came. You know how many people think they're smarter then me? Everyone did. And each time saying, "im smartr then u" You know? Instead of giving Stardoll a dictionary, why don't give them some actual intellect. I mean seriously! People who say they're 16 or 28 or even 21 don't capaitalize, puntuate correctly, or use the correct grammar. People who actually gradulated kindergarten are very rare.

  8. Hello

I got a question, maybe somebody can help me?
Yesterday I contacted the Stardoll customer service because there was a problem with my payment. But does the service really answer my question? And if so, how do they contact me (send a message to my stardoll account, e-mail, phone,…)?

    Thank you :)

  9. They usually do answer your question. It takes a few days or so for them to answer. I don't think it has ever happened that they wouldn't. What was your question? I'm sure we can help (:

  10. I bought more stardollars with my credit card and my transaction was confirmed, but the stardoll site said there was something wrong with my payment. After a few hours I realised that my superstar membership was too short (not 120 days) so I couldn't buy stardollars.

Yes very stupid, I know. ^^

Now I hope that I don't have to pay 20 euros because I received nothing, but my payment was succeeded...

  11. "Okey" is "okay" in Spanish. I believe that she could have been confused. "None of *(the) blog writers lives in a country where English is
*(a,the) national language but I still believe we do better than that *(.)" You left those out...

  12. @Anonymous: yes, but we aren't Stardoll, we can make mistakes and curse all we want (:
@Alice: if your payment wasn't successful, then you shouldn't have lost any money and just try again. I hade the same problem when a phone payment didn't work and I just had to try again without losing extra money.

  14. missvampire..Sorry I point it that out. But, if you're going to criticize a persons writing make sure yours is at least decent.

  15. As far as I'm concirned, my English is more than decent. Jo said our English is better than theirs and she's right, I'm pretty sure we can all write "okay" propperly. Missing an occasional "a" or "the" is just not nearly as bad as impropper spelling of simple words like that.

  16. if English is not your first language than writing okey instead of okay is not a big deal.

  17. @MissVampire: I have to agree. However I don't think that this mistake was done deliberately! At least I hope so!

  18. Maybe they got a little bit confused because you spell okay okej in swedish. And give them some slack, everyone can make a mistake.

  20. I agree with you, although I am quite guilty of doing things like this :) But it's different when something official like stardoll is doing it...
