The Claudia Lioncourt suite

I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with Anne Rice's Chronicles of the Vampires books, but Vampire_Claudia's page is so good that I had to post about it.
Her page is a tribute to the fictional character Claudia who appears in the book Interview with the Vampire. There's also a very famous movie interpretation, released in 1994. In the film, Claudia is interpreted by Kirsten Dunst.

In her suite, you can make a perfect travel through the story and its most remarkable places, in a very Victorian-era style:

I honestly think she's done a brilliant job. Opinions?

Museum Mile new floors

Today we got 5 new floors for the Museum Mile store. Among the new items you can find a lot of artistic stuff such as statuettes, sculptures and even a reproduction from the very well known portrait "The Gleaners":

There are pieces of clothing available on the portrait, also. You can get them through clicking on the figure with the yellow hat (providing you a blue dress and a hat) and on the red hatted figure (providing you a red dress).
What do you guys think about the new collections?

Internet safety

Stardoll recently did an internet safety campaign. They might be overreacting with certain things, but they do have a point. These days it's fairly easy to get a person's information over the internet and things like embezzlement, identity theft etc. really do happen.
For the more informed: with laws like SOPA, PIPA, and ACTA being in debate, I think we'll all have to be more careful soon.

Did you know that there is an average of 4 background applications collecting your information, and 5 on the Stardoll homepage?


Quantcast is following you right now. They're selling your information to advertisers. I bet you didn't know that.

Furthermore, magine this;
You finished school. You're looking for a job. All your employee has to do to get your information is find you on Facebook. If you're not careful, he'll see you drink, smoke and possibly some other things you don't want him to know. And just like that, you lost a job.

My suggestions:
1. Be careful. Don't post everything about you on social websites.
2. If you don't want to be followed, some applications can be found to ensure your privacy:
For Firefox, you have add-ons like Ghostery, NoScript, BetterPrivacy or WOT that are used by millions of users. (I use Ghostery and I recommend it to everyone.)
For Chrome, you have Ghostery, WOT, AdBlock etc.
I'm not gonna search for Internet Explorer add-ons because I hope you're all smart enough to download either Firefox or Chrome.

There is also a safe search engine that doesn't collect your data, called DuckDuckGo. It speaks for itself:


I'm not saying you should use all of these, but at least give it a thought. If nothing else,

A new store was released today with different items for decoration:

Most pieces are for superstars exclusively and they're also not that cheap. Some things are actually nice, though. I liked the Scottish Fold Cat, it looks really adorable:

I couldn't do without posting about the outstanding page GoldCharlotte has created. Her rooms are incredibly detailed, with clear morbid inspirations and very original ideas. You guys definitely need to check these out:

Her album is also one of the bests I've seen! It's truly poetic and creative, and I really think it deserves to win the album contest.

New Dot

I absolutely adore the new collection for Dot store! We have lots of interesting colours such as red, blue and purple on eye shadows, eye pencils, lipsticks and even eyebrows pencils.

I'm totally spending some money here. What about you guys?

Demon Angel Statue

This gorgeous statue is part of the Evening Falls collection and it costs 18 stardollars. It's one of my favourite pieces from the store, I just think it looks very well designed and it's a magnificent choice to a gothic themed room.

I believe Stardoll got inspired on Weeping Angels from the Doctor Who series. On the story, they're an ancient race of aliens who are deadly powerful and dangerous. That's how they look like:

Stylist Studio

Yesterday, we received a message, inviting us to buy the new feature, which is a Stylist studio. I wasn't exactly sure what it's for, but I bought it and checked it out.
The current price, 149 stardollars, is only temporary and at the moment only Stardoll royalty can buy the studio. That will probably change later. Once you buy it and start styling, some sort of a career card appears next to your nickname in guestbooks etc.

So what it basically is, is a place where you style other people's dolls.
1. First you need a customer.
2.Once they "get in line", you can style their MeDoll with items that are in the shops at the moment. That's not one of my favorite parts because they could add the items the person already has, that would make it much easier.
3. When you're done with the styling, you send it to the client and it appears in your portfolio. They can either buy it or not. When someone buys your outfit, you get 10% of the cost of all the items.
But it seems like a nice idea to me, one of the best ones lately. Did anyone buy it?

Free Bella Cullen wedding dress

Stardoll hasn't been very much interesting this year so far. To lighten up the matter, though, they decided to give ze users a chance to feel like a character in "one of our favorite movies of the season"*, - dress up in Bella Cullen's amazing wedding dress** ***
To participate, you have to style your doll like Bella (not necessarily, though I'd like to see some iron masks which would make the impression of someone actually having tried), take a photograph (or use an old one, as did I) and send it to the contest. Then you receive a free dress, which looks like this:

IdentiTee new floors

Stardoll has been quite dead, lately. No interesting updates or any relevant collections worth mentioning. I'm curious on your opinion about our latest release, though:

Unlike the earlier collections of IdentiTee, the items aren't cheap. You can get each for 14 stardollars and I personally find the clothes completely useless. I wonder if anyone here spent any money on this?

Coffin Couch

This couch is available on the Magic Emporium store and you can get it for 18 stardollars. I personally think it would look much better on other colours, but I liked the strange factor of it. It's not very usual to see such items on Stardoll, is it? That's how it looks:

New feature in Beauty Parlor

And here comes one more amazing change concerning Beauty Parlor, which takes such form:

meaning, you can now enlarge/rotate/change sides of the items you used to use, which makes a pleasant new add, although I'm not entirely sure what would I want to enlarge (maybe make my hair extensions really big, or putting eye lenses all over my face without using much material. Sweet). Maybe make those big nerd glasses really big and look fake (Sweetums). Ze possibilities are endless, depending on your creativity/sources/shoe size/hair color/sense of pride/etc., etc.

P.S. if you played too far and can't find the right size, put the item back in the box and take it again, and it will appear in its usual size. And I got a yellow T-Shirt for Christmas
