Stardollars for all

This is the new change from Stardoll:
http://officialstardoll.files.wordpress.com/2011/11/stardollars_unlocked_blogpost.jpg
It says non-superstars can now use Stardollars. I'm not sure what the difference is since Stardollars can still only be bought. There is some good changes though;
~ starcoins - stardollars exchange all the time for superstars
~ 50 starcoins per day instead of 40 for superstars
~ more rooms

40 Starcoins tutorial

Stardoll's "My daily tasklist" with activities that you have to do for Starcoins is a bit awkward and useless in my opinion so I thought I'd do a tutorial with clickable links here. Do this every day and it'll save you some time 'cause you won't have to visit the tasklist page and then search for the activities every time. Here it is:

- Customize your album (3 Starcoins)
The link will take you to your album. A small change like moving one thing is enough. Don't forget to save it.
- Comment on an album (2 Starcoins)
The link will take you to your album. Write something like "adoighjpok" and then erase it.
- Comment on a scenery (2 Starcoins)
The link will take you to your scenery. Write something like "powekglnb" and then erase it.
- Sign a guestbook (2 Starcoins)
The link will take you to your page. Write something like "srltgkjvm" and then erase it.
- Post in your blog (2 Starcoins)
The link will take you to your blog. Write something like "lolisjbvmlk" and then erase it.
- Style your Medoll (3 Starcoins)
The link will take you to your Beauty parlor. A small change like moving one thing is enough. Don't forget to save it.
- Participate in a poll (3 Starcoins)
The link will take you to the cover page. The poll is in the bottom right corner.
- Vote for the Best outfit (3 Starcoins)
The link will take you to the Catwalk page.
- Vote for the Best Design (3 Starcoins)
The link will take you to the Best Design page.
- Decorate your suite (3 Starcoins)
The link will take you to your page. A small change like moving one thing is enough. Don't forget to save it.
- Design your own clothes (2 Starcoins)
The link will take you to the StarDesign page. Make a random pattern, sew it and throw it away.
- Log in (4 Starcoins)
No further comment necessary, I assume.
- Rate a Covergirl (3 Starcoins)
- Rate an Album (3 Starcoins)
- Rate a Scenery (3 Starcoins)
I can't provide you a link with a user for the last 3 tasks, but here's a link to your friends' page. Give it a click and rate one of them for the last few Starcoins.

Those should give you 41 Starcoins. Feel free to use the guide every day if you wish. Let us know if it's useful, will you?

New currency: Starcoins (must read)(updated)

If you logged in today, you should've seen a pop-up message, informing you about a new currency. This is another big change to the website. A link should be provided, bringing you to this page:

It says there are more ways to earn Starcoins and that Stardollars will from now on be superstar-only. If this is all still confusing, this should clear things up:

(superstar and non-superstar exchange)

(exchange for previous superstars with 10% commission)
One Stardollar is now worth ten Starcoins. It's the same basic principle as euros and cents or dollars/pounds and pennies. Starcoins can be earned by rating, customizing and creating almost anything on Stardoll.

If you want to know your way around Stardoll with the new currency and all of their new tricks, you should read this:

Down-sides:
- Notice the first catch? When exchanging Stardollars to Starcoins, you lose 10%. That means that superstars whose ss membership expires get their Stardollars converted to Starcoins and by that lose 10% of their money.

- Another down-side is that we can only earn 40 Starcoins per day - which is only 4 Stardollars.

- The list of activities we have to do to get the 40 Starcoins is long too - and some of the things can't be done on daily bases (like starting a club) and for doing some of the listed we would have to spend at least 11 Stardollars or 110 Starcoins;
Buy a gift - 10 Starcoins,
Broadcast - 50 StarCoins,
Starplaza purchase - 10 Starcoins,
Buy a StarDesign item - 40 Starcoins,
We'd have to spend at least 110 Starcoins to make 40 Starcoins. We'd basically have to spend almost thrice as much as we'd make.
I might do a tutorial later on how to get the 40 Starcoins and avoid spending more.

- If the collectibles will still be provided when making all of the money, they will be much harder to get.

- Once you do something from the list and earn a few Starcoins (for example accept a friend's request), the whole website becomes really slow and you can't do anything for 5 to 10 seconds (depending on the speed of your computer and internet connection).

- There are less ways for non-superstars to earn the Starcoins because they can't broadcast, use the StarBazaar or the StarDesign section etc.

- The only way to get stardollars (and thus superstar items) is now to buy them with real money.

- Non-superstars can no longer obtain superstar items through StarBazaars.

- Non-superstar-bought items can only be sold for 500 Starcoins or 50 Stardollars.

Up-sides:
- We can make 1000 Starcoins per month.
- We can reserve items.
- Non-superstars can recycle.

Purchases:
The superstar items will stay in the old currency - Stardollars, while the non-superstar items will now be in Starcoins.

Does anyone see how bad this new currency is or is it just me? 'Cause I just don't see all the positive aspects Stardoll and Underneath Stardoll do. I'll keep researching and updating this post.

EDIT: We just recieved this fancy letter from Stardoll. I thought I should make their scammery clear so I added the red parts of the text next to each reason why we'll love hate it it:

EDIT: The final changes were made. The items that were bought as non-superstar will now only be able to be sold in Starcoins. The Starbazaar has been divided to Superstar and Non-superstar or Starcoins sections. This means non-superstars won't be able to obtain superstar items through StarBazaars any more. It also means that valuables (such as first season DKNY) that were bought when they were non-superstars will now only be able to be sold for 500 Starcoins - or 50 Stardollars, which is (as seen on the photo) the Starcoins limit. The only good thing I see here is the new "Reserved" function. They should have thought of that one before, it would prevent a lot of scams. I've added all of these to the Up-sides and Down-sides lists above.

StarBazaar changes

New changes in the StarBazaar area. The photo says it all.

What do you think that "always" instead of a normal always means?

80 million users campaign

or something. You probably got the message starting 80..., and you may already know that it's only a matter of time a number of people who have sold their souls to stardoll will reach 80 million. So, stardoll offers us this:
sounds like something, but I remember times when 'cute dresses' costed 5 stardollars

Free Stardollars not so free

Stardoll promised us 10 free stardollars on the 10th of October, if I remember correctly. They said it'd count 5 stardollars towards our Play & Earn monthly limit.

Anyway, is it just me or does anyone else think this is another one of their tricks? Cause if you don't log in today, you lose 10 stardollars out of the 70 monthly ones. We can't choose if we want them or not so we lose them any way.

Note: If you haven't entered our competition for 75 stardollars yet, click here and enter!

Free Stardollars.

Go check your message inbox today. You'll find this surprising act of kindness, from Stardoll itself.

The message is about 10 Stardollars that are going to be given away to each and every single Stardoll member on the 10th October (10-10-10).

However, if you don't spend it all that exact day, it will disappear. This money counts as a part of the Play and Earn system, and therefore it adds up to your count.

With the makeover going on, people are complaining that it's harder to get the 12 starpoints. I've again made a "How to get 12 starpoints" tutorial with links that make it easier. It was based on this one. I hope this helps to some of you.

More greediness

I am getting fed up with Stardoll's greedy asses. We give them money MONTHLY, we give them MILLIONS, but they just keep taking? This has got to stop. Matthias Mischke, with all the money you're getting from us, please buy yourself a heart.

Sure, scamming might be over, but 10% commission? ARE YOU CRAZY? There used to be no comission at all. Buying in starplaza will pay off a bit more now, I guess.

Starpoint facts & tips

Due to new starpoint hair being released, I think we should introduce you with some starpoint facts. You'll get more starpoints in a quicker time if you follow this. Collecting starpoints is smart because you get some free stuff along the way, some stuff that aren't available for anyone, new starpoint haircuts and this lovely tree:

There's some basic starpoint rules, read these first.

1. You can only get 12 starpoints a day.
- that means that messages offering 12908479857 starpoints if you forward them do not work.
2. You can not get starpoints by writing long messages.
- that means copy/paste doesn't go well.
3. The easiest way to get starpoints is to do everything Stardoll offers.
- and that means the things on the list below.

Now as I said, the easiest way to get starpoints is to do everything. It might seem a bit crazy when you read it, but this system has been tested and it really works. Here's the 13 things you'd have to do to get 12 starpoints every day (you only have to do 12 to get 12):

1. Change your MeDoll.
- not a lot, maybe just move some jewelry for a bit.
2. Change your suite.
- the same as upper. (jewelry = clothes)
3. Change your presentation.
- the same as upper. (jewelry = words)
4. Write a message.
- it can be to yourself and it can be blank.
5. Write a guestbook post.
- same as upper.
6. Write a starblog post.
- same as upper.
7. Make a photo/scenery.
- it can be blank.
8. Dress up a Doll.
- it can be naked.
9. Comment a Doll.
- just write "starpointing."
10. Comment an album.
- it can be yours and blank.
11. Comment a photo/scenery.
- same as upper.
12. Comment a Starblog.
- same as upper.
13. Buy something.
- this is the one that Stardoll likes the most.

There is also other ways. If you do (for example) alot of buying in the Starplaza, you can get several starpoints for one thing, but nobody really knows how much you have to spend to get multiple starpoints. That's why I just stick with the upper list. I hope this helped some of you.

New Starpoint Hairs

Stardoll increased the starpoint rewards! There's new 5 hairstyles but before you get too excited, you'll only get this new haircuts with, at least 7500 starpoints. Curiously, I think the last haircut is the weakest one.
Check them out:

New Play & Earn?

This came as a message, I think everyone received it. It's a new way to earn stardollars. I think their best idea was when we could play games and earn an unlimited amount of stardollars + get one stardollar a day which we could then save.

This system allows you 70 stardollars a month. I have to admit, it's better than getting only 50, but according to the picture, the last stardollar will be the only one we'll be able to save. That means that we'll be able to save 14 stardollars and we'll be able to play for 14 days a month if we'll want to save anything.
I don't know what Stardoll is trying to do here, but there's more and more complains about how selfish they are. I just hope we'll get our old system back.
