Alexander McQueen @ Sea of Stars shop

I'm so sorry for being such a McQueen freak and posting everything Stardoll decides to convert into pixelated clothes. I'm such a fangirl.. If you're interested, here's some more:

Stardoll just released another floor in the Sea of Stars shop. I immediately noticed a few pieces:

1: Bird Of A Feather Cape, 50 starcoins
2: Bird Of A Feather Dress, 20 stardollars
3: Violet Sheen Shoes, 50 starcoins
4: Quartz Ablaze Shoes, 50 starcoins
5: Bird Of A Feather Shoes, 6 starcoins

I assume the 6 starcoins shoes are a mistake so get them fast if you like them.
The dress and cape look a bit like this one:

Now I'm not sure about the dress, but the shoes are definitely Alexander McQueen's "armadillos". That's because they're patent shoes and can only be made by the McQueen brand. I love them because of their odd shape. There is only 21 existing pairs and each costs about 10,000$. They're hard to wear though due to the 30 cm/12 inch heels. Did anybody else buy these? Just me? ..

Since our McQueen "month" (or two) is over, I'd like to show you one last treat. As far as I know, athene74 has the biggest collection of Alexander McQueen items on Stardoll. Here's a photo:

McQueen competition winners

We're finally announcing the McQueen competition winners. We're late again, I know, I'm sorry for that. I was in Rome for a week and I wasn't on.
Anyway, there has been a change. We can not give out 6 prizes because Stardoll made some changes. Their greediness spoiled our plans, I'm so sorry. Before, we could upgrade a non-superstar for 1,99€, but now they raised the price to 4,49€. So we did some re-arranging and decided to still give out 4 prizes. If winniegirl123 won't give you the prize cause "she's not comfortable with giving out her number", then I'm sorry, it's out of my hands.

Kat Scarf Top

Since we're having a McQueen month, I decided to post about one more creation from this fantastic designer. Kat Scarf Top is originally from Kat Von D's doll (It's still a mystery why the doll was deleted) and you guys can find it on the Evil Panda store for 5$, only for Superstar members. This top can be used in many, many ways and there's no doubt that you can create awesome looks with it. Here's the Stardoll version:





















In real life, the top was made from an Alexander McQueen skull scarf. He created many in different colors but the top was made with the one below:















And, (of course) my favorite tattooist, the amazing Kat Von D, wears the scarf as a top in real life:

McQueen COMPETITION

Theme:
Make an (of course) Alexander McQueen themed outfit. Try to re-create his freaky style. Go for strong, powerful, sensual, emotional outfit that makes a statement. Be sure to accessorize. For inspiration, check his collections on Style.com or Wooldoor's McQueen graphics. Here's also a few photos:




Instructions:
Visit my suite (search for MissVampire or click here). You must dress my doll up, using at least one of the pieces from the room I am in. They are all inspired by McQueen. You can use anything from my suite (including my wardrobe), as long as one of the pieces is from the McQueen room. When you're done, take a screen shot and upload it to ImageShack/PhotoBucket/TinyPic. Paste the link of your outfit in comments. It would be nice if you also make a screen print of the make-up you use, but that's optional.

Rules:
~ You can not ask for votes.
~ You can not write on the image or change it in any way, it has to be clear.
~ You must be a blog follower.
~ You must tell us your Stardoll nickname and if you're superstar or not.
~ You must leave the comment from your blogger account so we can check if you're a follower.
Your entry won't be valid if you don't follow the rules.

Alexander McQueen month - must read!

I am proud to introduce you our new project, the McQueen month! The famous designer Alexander McQueen, which was inspiration to all of us and is in my opinion the best designer that has ever lived, has died in last year. February 11th will be the day when one year has passed from his death. In his honor, we will dedicate this whole month to him.
