Endangered Specie

This month endangered specie is the beautiful Bald Eagle. It's very well designed so I recommend you to get yours by clicking here.

As you can read on the Stardoll page, the bald eagle endangerment has been due to pollution and hunting but, fortunately, this animal population is now known to be stable and may soon lose its endangered status. That's a real photo of one:

May Endangered Specie

This month's endangered specie is called Przewalski Horse, a beautiful and rare subspecie of a wild horse. The Stardoll design looks really adorable, so click here to adopt it.

These wild horses were once hunted for their meat and have lost much of their natural habitat to grazing domestic animals. Many of the remaining horses are found in zoos although they have lost some of their distinct features due to cross breeding and domestication. This is how it looks like in real life:

Endangered Species

This month's endangered specie is the Horned Puffin, a beautiful sea bird. Click to adopt it.

The specie breeds on the coasts of Siberia, Alaska and British Columbia, nesting in rocky cavities, and eating mainly fish (that they catch, by diving into the sea) but can also squid and some crustaceans.

The Horned Puffin has its habitat endangered due to the introduction of rats in several of their breeding/nesting islands.

Here's a picture of this adorable auk:

I find the face magnificent! What do you think?

Endangered Species

Endangered Species are not over and that means we'll still have a new free animal every month. January's animal is the Duck-Billed Platypus, a semi-aquatic mammal. It's endangered because, many years ago, hunters killed hundreds of platypus for their fur. Click here to get it!

This is how it looks in real life. I find him adorable:

Endangered Specie #12

Since nobody was making post about it... I was wondering why, since it's really awesome this time. It's the Prizzly Bear, and originally it's a hybrid of grizzly and polar bear. Stardoll version looks like this:

I didn't manage to find many pics of it in real life (and the ridiculous part was finding separate pics from different blogs about stardoll, not even bear-related), but this one is it:

It looks a bit like dirty polar bear, and its color various from dirty-white to brown (which stardoll, fortunately, noticed, though they did not perform a very neat job).
It would fit perfectly in every winter-themed interior, especially the last one, Swedish forest

Endangered Specie #11

Click here to get the new endangered specie, the Orangutan:

These little creatures are in risk of getting extincted because of the continuing destruction of forests and also because humans keep killing adult females illegally to obtain juveniles for the animal trade. It just pisses me off. If you wonder how it looks in real life, here's a lovely picture with two little cuties:

Endangered specie #10

This month it's Daubentonia madagascariensis, or Aye-Aye. Stardoll version looks like this:

though in real life, it's not really like this. Check out for yourself:

Not the worst Stardoll's attempt to draw an ani
mal, though. Compared to the Red panda, it's actually almost perfect.
It looks amazing, still. Like Stardoll scared the living shit out of him announcing it will be this month's animalistic item.

Endangered Specie #9

This month animal is the Tree Kangaroo:

Wondering why it is an endangered specie? This lovely animal lives on trees and since forests are being devastated, they have no place to live in. It's incredibly sad. See how cute they look:

Shark!

This has got to be the best endangered animal so far! Love it!

Graphics fail

This little cutie is this week's endangered animal. It's the red panda, adopt it here.

I love the animal, but Stardoll's version is a pixelated fail. With millions they get from us, they couldn't do better than this? It looks like it's made in paint and I'm pretty sure I could make it better, especially with their equipment.

Does anyone agree?

Animalistic item #4

This month it's Okapi, an animal living in Central Africa. I think it's amazing. It's kinda weird, and I love weird stuff. Unique, as all weirdos are. I even feel somehow similar to it.

Animalistic

As perhaps you all have noticed (shame on me, I noticed it just this week), Stardoll started a new program. You can find it on Magazine -> Animalistic. Here's the link to it. It's about endangered species - animals that are likely to die out soon. This month it's the Red-eyed tree frog; you can take one to your suite for free by clicking Adopt it on the frog's pic. Stardoll writes that they care about endangered species; I just hope it's not only about giving free animal items to users' suites.
